On 10-11 April, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of important decisions.
No. 11163 – adopted the Resolution “On Certain Issues of Military Duty and Military Service under Martial Law” to speed up the Government's resolution of issues related to increasing the level of remuneration for servicemen performing combat (special) tasks during combat (special) operations on the line of contact with the enemy and in the enemy’s territory.
IN GENERAL:
No. 10449 – amended certain legislative acts of Ukraine on certain issues of military service, mobilisation and military registration.
FOR THE BASIS:
No. 9559 – proposed to amend the Law of Ukraine “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine” to expand the powers of local self-government bodies during the period of martial law.
No. 10379 – on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences and the Criminal Code of Ukraine to increase liability for military offences.
No. 11079-1 – proposed amendments to the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, the Criminal Executive Code and other laws of Ukraine to introduce the institution of early release of persons from serving their sentences for their direct participation in the defence of the country, protection of its independence and territorial integrity.
Ratified:
No. 0242 – Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada;
No. 0251 – Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Latvia on Technical and Financial Cooperation;
No. 0252 – Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on the donation of non-refundable funds from the Government of the Republic of Slovenia to the Government of Ukraine for humanitarian assistance in the field of demining.
