“Medical workers are fighting for every life every day, including the lives of our military,” the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko said when awarding certificates of merit for services to the Ukrainian people to the chief doctor and his deputy, as well as a senior nurse of a medical institution.
“We are grateful to our doctors for their professionalism, work and faith in our men and women! When we win and restore peaceful life, Ukrainian experience and unique expertise in key issues, including prosthetics and rehabilitation, will be needed not least to build the next stages of medical development in the world,” he said, adding that this is also emphasised by international partners: “There are practices of rehabilitation and prosthetics for servicemen when they were refused abroad, but in our country they were able to do it.”
In addition, Oleksandr Korniienko noted that the example of tens of thousands of rescued people who can walk again, return to service or civilian life is evident. “We, as a state, are trying to maintain a high level of the industry,” he stressed.
At the same time, the First Vice-Speaker visited the department where medical care is provided to servicemen and personally talked to our soldiers from Mariinka, Bakhmut and Avdiivka who are bravely defending Ukraine – its people and free future within independent borders: “I heard the stories of the heroes who amaze me with their courage and strength.”
In conclusion, Oleksandr Korniienko expressed his gratitude to all those who are bringing victory closer and doing everything for the state and Ukrainians in these circumstances.
