During the meeting with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Aliyeva, the parties discussed ways of further cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Parliament of Azerbaijan.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the principled position of Azerbaijan in support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"Ukraine, for its part, maintains an unwavering position in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders," Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized.
During the conversation with the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noted the changes in Yerevan's voting on Ukrainian and pro-Ukrainian resolutions and initiatives within international organizations after the beginning of russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.
At the same time, the parties paid much attention to russian aggression and the imperial ambitions of the russian federation.
"Ukraine stands for the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict in compliance with international law, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states within internationally recognized borders," the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine emphasized.
