The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko welcomed the visit of the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen to Ukraine and her speech in the Parliament of Ukraine.

“Last year, the Prime Minister spoke online to the Ukrainian MPs – it was a strong speech, especially when she noted that we are fighting not only for our country, but also for free nations around the world. And today she is here with us,” the First Vice-Speaker stressed.

He expressed his gratitude for the leadership and unwavering support of Ukraine, particularly in the military, financial and humanitarian spheres. Oleksandr Korniienko also thanked for the historic decision to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets: “This is a powerful contribution to strengthening the defence capabilities of our country.” “Your dedicated efforts to supply Ukraine with heavy weapons are extremely important for us. It is this kind of assistance that not only saves the lives of our people, but also brings us closer to victory. It is your personal courage that ensures Denmark’s leadership in the Air Coalition,” said Oleksandr Korniienko.

“We appreciate every step that our friends are taking together with the Ukrainian people on the road to victory! “Your fight is our fight”. It’s nice and very important that the world stands with us on the side of truth and justice,” the First Vice Speaker stressed.

At the same time, he expressed gratitude for Denmark’s willingness to take on the restoration and reconstruction of Mykolaiv and expressed hope for Denmark’s assistance on Ukraine’s path to full membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

“Thanks to the unity of the Ukrainian people, the dedication of our soldiers, and the support of our partner countries, we will liberate the entire Ukrainian land from the ruscist invaders,” said Oleksandr Korniienko, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
