First of all, the First Vice Speaker expressed his gratitude for the fundamentally important decision to exclude the federations of russia and belarus from the Union: “This is the only international federation that has done so.”
“The world needs such examples in all sports,” stressed Oleksandr Korniienko, noting that the terrorist state uses athletes as a mouthpiece for propaganda and support for war.
At the same time, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine informed the representatives of the International Biathlon Union about the plans to find opportunities to continue supporting Ukrainian federations.
In conclusion, Oleksandr Korniienko thanked them for their strong position and support of Ukraine.
The meeting was also attended by Ivan Krulko, the Member of Parliament of Ukraine, the First Deputy Chairman of the Budget Committee.
