This was stated by the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at a briefing within the framework of the Conference on the International Children’s Day “UA: War. Unsung Lullaby”.

He emphasised that such publicity would eventually result in the adoption of appropriate political decisions by foreign parliaments and assemblies.

“First of all, we need to stop the deportation process itself,” stressed Oleksandr Korniienko, adding that the world should come to appropriate decisions at the United Nations General Assembly.

He also raised the issue of the use of counter-propaganda, given the actions of the russian federation: “We understand that in those countries where russian influence in the media environment is strong, the truth is twisted the other way round, as if it were not deportation but rescue.”

The First Deputy Speaker noted that an important area of joint work and its result in terms of counter-propaganda is future messages of understanding of Ukraine, even from countries that still support russia or remain neutral.

For reference. The conference dedicated to the International Children’s Day “UA: War. The Unsung Lullaby” was organised with the participation of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
