The politician emphasized that, according to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, everyone should understand that our country has been at war for almost a year.
“The anti-corruption system in Ukraine is one of the best in Europe. It is separated from other systems and built in close cooperation with international experts,” the First Vice Speaker emphasized.
According to him, this system is completely independent: “We have the most sophisticated declaration system, control over all stages of anti-corruption processes, NABU and SAPO – the entire infrastructure for this.”
“Ukraine also has strong anti-corruption media and civilian anti-corruption control, which together work very well,” added Oleksandr Korniienko.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noted that this is why people who try to do corrupt business during the war “have no chance but will be punished and subject to legal proceedings.”
“We have to support anti-corruption reforms, in particular, to restore the declaration system – this is our next step,” Oleksandr Korniienko emphasized during his participation in the meeting of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET).
