Ruslan Stefanchuk,The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, during his online meeting with the Speakers of the Parliaments of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria stressed that the war waged by russia contains all the signs of genocide of the Ukrainian people.

According to him, evidence of this and other war crimes committed by the russian army is collected and documented by the Ukrainian authorities.

"russia's top military and political leadership will definitely be taken accountable before the International Criminal Court and a special tribunal after its establishment and will be held accountable for every crime committed," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine spoke about the prerequisite for the international community to consider the possible easing of sanctions against Russia after the complete withdrawal of its troops from Ukraine.

russia must extradite for further prosecution by the International Criminal Court all, without exception, war criminals involved in the preparation and practical implementation of the military invasion.

"I would like to take this opportunity to call on the Parliament Members of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria to help secure a no-fly zone over Ukraine, impose an energy embargo, completely disconnect russia from SWIFT and take all possible ceasefire measures," urged Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada expressed hope that the sanctional pressure would be able to stop russia's aggression and prevent its further expansion to other European countries. He also called for support for Ukraine's accession to the EU.

"Such a decision by the EU will be a key factor in deterring Russian aggression, as well as a fair reward for the Ukrainian people for their struggle for freedom, democracy and European values. I call for all efforts to be made to show that Europe is united today and capable of resisting the russian aggressor.  There can be no peace in Europe without Ukraine. And there can be no united Europe without Ukraine," Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
