Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk met with students of the Ukrainian Academy of Leadership.
"Youth has always been the driving force of all large-scale state changes. For me personally, youth, education and science have always been a priority. I always insist that they be provided with adequate budget funding," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reminded that this year the Parliament adopted the Law “On the Basic Principles of Youth Policy”, which radically changes the youth policy in Ukraine. The law allows active young men and women to influence government decisions and have a direct dialogue with the authorities.
"For the first time in the history of Ukraine, huge preferences for young people have been prescribed. The law provides for the possibility of participation and influence of young people in government decision-making, development of infrastructure of youth centers, introduces grants from the state for their own projects," he said.
"We clearly understand the system of youth priorities. They should feel real state support - housing, employment and entrepreneurship, education, culture, tourism, health and recreation, physical culture and sports, etc.," he said.
Ruslan Stefanchuk also announced the President's address to the people on December 1. According to him, the speech of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in particular, will address issues related to youth.
