The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Razumkov, had a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the Knesset of the State of Israel, Yariv Levin. D. Razumkov congratulated Mr. Levin on his election as Speaker and expressed hope for deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation between the states.
Dmytro Razumkov also thanked the Speaker for the Knesset's prompt approval of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Israel.
In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted that Ukraine values highly the political dialogue between parliaments of both states. "We do expect that there will soon be set up a Ukraine-Israel friendship group for inter-parliamentary relations at the Knesset. This will bring the cooperation between our states to a new, far higher, level,” Dmytro Razumkov stressed.
