The parties discussed a number of important issues, in particular, those related to Ukraine's accession to NATO and expectations from the Washington Summit.
At the same time, the interlocutors reviewed the experience of other countries in their accession process.
In addition, during the meeting, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko spoke about the situation in Ukraine, including security and legislative changes and reforms. He stressed the importance of supplying Western weapons, as they, together with the experience and skills of Ukrainian soldiers, can overcome russian aggression.
“Approval of military and technical assistance is extremely important for Ukraine. The support of partners, in particular the United States, is very important for the protection of our people and the de-occupation of Ukrainian territories,” the First Vice Speaker stressed.
