First of all, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to the Danish Government, Parliament and all Danish people for their continued support of Ukraine's resilience and defence capability, as well as for the large-scale military assistance and the recent allocation of the 16th military assistance package, which included the artillery we need.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed the particular importance of the Ukrainian-Danish interparliamentary dialogue, noting that he appreciated the support of the Folketing.

Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed that Ukraine greatly appreciates the fact that Denmark was the first Scandinavian country to sign a security cooperation agreement with Ukraine. In addition, Denmark is a member of eight out of nine coalitions to help Ukraine with various types of weapons – an artillery coalition, an armoured vehicle coalition, an aviation coalition, an IT coalition, an air defence coalition, a mine action coalition, a fleet strengthening coalition, and a drone coalition.

In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said that Ukrainian pilots are currently training in Denmark on F-16 aircraft, which Denmark is preparing to transfer to Ukraine in the near future.

At the same time, the parties discussed urgent defence needs and opportunities for joint defence production. “I highly appreciate that a powerful delegation of Danish defence companies has come to Ukraine with you. I look forward to the successful holding of the Defence Industry Forum and the achievement of specific agreements based on its results,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

Finally, the interlocutors paid attention to the issue of reforming the security sector in Ukraine to achieve interoperability with NATO.
