During his working visit to Kharkiv region, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Serhii Deinek, visited the positions of Ukrainian soldiers 500 meters from the state border, who are defending Ukrainian land close to the enemy and protecting the Ukrainian people.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine discussed with the servicemen the operational situation, the course of combat operations and the urgent needs of the soldiers.
Ruslan Stefanchuk presented the soldiers with the awards of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, thanking them for every day of defense of Ukraine, for their daily feats, courage and bravery, and for their loyalty to the oath.
In Kharkiv, Ruslan Stefanchuk met with representatives of the National Police of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and awarded the personnel with the insignia of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with the Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and the Kharkiv Military-Civilian Administration Oleh Syniehubov, visited the site of the russian missile attack on an apartment building, which the enemy carried out on January 23, 2024.
“This is what russian terror looks like. This is an apartment building where civilians, Ukrainian families, Ukrainian children lived. This is all that remains of the building after the russian shelling. Unfortunately, there are dead and injured,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed his sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims. Oleh Syniehubov, for his part, noted that all the victims are being provided with the necessary assistance, and the situation is under his personal control.
At the same time, the Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk appealed to the heads of parliaments of the world to speed up the provision of weapons to Ukraine, in particular, air defense systems, artillery and ammunition.
