During her working visit to the Republic of Latvia, the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Krišjānis Kariņš.

During the meeting, Krišjānis Kariņš, who is one of the largest promoters of Ukraine in the world, stressed that Ukraine has fulfilled all the prerequisites for the European Council to decide to start accession negotiations.

The Latvian Foreign Minister also praised the contribution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in adopting laws in the extraordinary conditions of a full-scale war.

In addition, Krišjānis Kariņš noted that Latvia's agenda includes three main blocks of support for Ukraine: support for military capabilities, support and advocacy for EU accession, and financial support.

“Latvia supports Ukraine's accession to the EU and will continue to advocate Ukraine’s European integration. You are fighting for us as well, and we will be with you until the victory,” Krišjanis Karinš assured the Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine at the end of the meeting.
