"Spain is in solidarity with the position of the Verkhovna Rada delegation and will raise the issue of illegal referendums and the attempted annexation of Ukrainian territories by Russia at the G20 Heads of Parliament summit!» Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk said during a working meeting with the First Deputy Speaker of the Spanish Congress of Deputies by Alfonso Rodriguez Gomez de Celis as part of her participation in the G20 Summit of Parliament Speakers in Indonesia.

Olena Kondratiuk informed that Alfonso Rodriguez Gomez de Celis assured of Spain's steadfast support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. "Russian troops must immediately leave the territory of Ukraine," emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Spanish Congress of Deputies.

«I also expressed gratitude to Spain for the tangible help that was provided to more than 135,000 forced migrants from Ukraine who found refuge in this EU state.

I was personally convinced of the hospitable and kind attitude towards our citizens, having inspected the work of centers assisting Ukrainians in Spain.» Olena Kondratiuk stressed.
