russia continues terrorizing Ukraine, shelling Ukrainian cities, killing civilians, destroying civil infrastructure. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, emphasized this during the meeting with the delegation of the heads of the parliamentary committees on European affairs of the EU member states and the First Vice-President of the European Parliament, Otmar Karas.
«Thus, at a meeting with representatives of a powerful delegation of heads of parliamentary committees on European affairs of the EU member states, I called on the EU parliaments to contribute to providing even greater military aid to Ukraine.» The Speaker of Ukrainian Parliament stressed.

He emphasized that Ukraine need weapons so that we can oppose russian army.

Another aspect, Mr. Stefanchuk noted, this is sanctions against russia. «It does not matter how many there are. It is important that they become such that russia is no longer able to fight.» He added.

«A complete energy embargo, personal and sectoral sanctions, disconnection of ALL russia and belarus banks from SWIFT, visa ban - this is what I focused on.» The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said.

Ruslan Stefanchuk olso noted what is important russia must be deprived of the opportunity to bypass the restrictions.

«I’m grateful to the representatives of the EU parliaments for their solidarity with Ukraine and their willingness to continue to stand side by side with us.» Said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at the end of the metting.
