Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk held a working meeting with the Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons Anthony Rota via video conference.
Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that today we are witnessing those challenges to which the world must respond instantly.
«Now, Russia is resorting to nuclear terrorism, placing military equipment and ammunition on the territory of the Zaporizhia NPP and shelling Ukrainian cities and communities.» Ruslan Stefanchuk noted.
He stressed that nuclear terrorism and nuclear war will have no borders.
«That is why Russia should be recognized as a terrorist state, as Ukraine and some European countries have done.» the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
He noted that in response to nuclear blackmail, sanctions should be introduced against "Rosatom" and the Russian nuclear industry, which was emphasized by Anthony Rota.
«Canada has always been an example of the successful expansion of sanctions against Russia. I am sure that the sanctions pressure will continue to increase.» The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said at the end of the meeting.
