Ruslan Stefanchuk: Five areas of support for Ukraine form a fist that must defeat the russian federation

During a joint briefing with the speakers of the parliaments of North Macedonia, Switzerland, and Romania, Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, outlined five main and essential areas of assistance to Ukraine from the world that are important for our victory over the aggressor.

"The first is to maintain a serious and tough sanctions policy against the russian federation. Without exceptions, without special conditions, a direct sanctions policy that will break the economic backbone of the aggressor and the war machine. That is, when we talk about the embargo, we are talking about the embargo on all energy sources; when we talk about SWIFT, we are talking about SWIFT for all banks; when we talk about ports, we are talking about all operations related to russian vessels, without exceptions, without any economic interest, without hidden economic benefits,” emphasized the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine.

The second direction, according to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, is economic and financial support for Ukraine, since a large number of territories are occupied, which prevents our economy from working at total capacity.

“The third direction is to support our European integration perspective. European integration and our participation in the EU is what the Ukrainian people deserve. This is what the Ukrainian people paid for in full. No other nation, which today is in a large European family, has paid such a terrible price as Ukraine has,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk. So, a critical fourth step in supporting Ukraine is military support, without which Ukraine will not be able to resist Russia.

"And the fifth direction, which is crucial for us, is to build a joint plan for the reconstruction of Ukraine. But such a plan would speak not about the reconstruction of Ukraine but the reconstruction of Europe together with Ukraine. There are five of these areas. But when all together they form a fist that must defeat the russian federation,” the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
