Ruslan Stefanchuk, The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, noted on his Facebook page that the goal of russia's military aggression against Ukraine is the systematic and consistent slaughter and extermination of the Ukrainian people, their identity and deprivation of their right to self-determination and independent development.  According to him, the world must recognise the genocide of the Ukrainian people during the Russian invasion in 2022.
The Speaker of the Parliament stressed that russia's official policy of non-recognition of the right of the Ukrainian people to exist is evidenced by numerous public statements made by putin and other officials of this state, as well as the relevant actions of the russian Armed Forces.
"Daily mass murders, abductions, imprisonment, torture, rape of women and children, committing disfigurement of corpses further after death, executions, blockade of settlements, destruction of civilian infrastructure, use of man-made hunger as a method of war… And there are many such atrocities throughout Ukraine where the russian invader has set foot,” Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed, emphasising that we cannot remain silent and we cannot forgive.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine calls on the whole world to recognise russia's actions as genocide of the Ukrainian people. To this end, a draft resolution №7276 has just been registered, proposing to approve the Verkhovna Rada's Statement "On the russian federation's Genocide in Ukraine".

"With this statement, the Parliament of Ukraine recognises and appeals to the international community to recognise russia's genocide of the Ukrainian people, as well as crimes against humanity and war crimes in Ukraine.  Exposing russia's true intentions will help initiate the prosecution of all perpetrators and stop the genocide of Ukrainians!" said Ruslan Stefanchuk
