The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, thanked the Members of the European Parliament and the Parliaments of the EU Member States for their courage, bravery and constant support for Ukraine during the briefing following the meeting with them.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine informed that the most critical issues related to the support of Ukraine were discussed together with the European parliamentarians.
"First of all, it is a question of economic and military assistance. Secondly, it is a question of sanctions, and thirdly, it is assistance to Ukraine in its membership in the EU," the politician said.
Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that there is full support of European colleagues on all issues. Following the meeting, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, together with the initiator of the United for Ukraine (U4U) interparliamentary network, Andrius Kubilius, signed the "Declaration of Unity for European Ukraine."
The signed document identifies six priority areas of the U4U network. These are arms supplies and military support; humanitarian help; sanctions against Russia; post-war reconstruction and the Marshall Plan for Ukraine; Ukraine's integration into the EU; international tribunal for the investigation of war crimes and crimes of aggression.
