Ruslan Stefanchuk, The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, has proposed to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to establish a special commission to investigate crimes committed by the russian federation on the territory of Ukraine. He made this proposal during a press conference with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Tiny Kox in Lviv.

"We agreed that what is happening in Ukraine cannot be called anything other than a brutal war.  This is genocide. We agreed to set up a special commission that could go to the scene of crimes committed by Russia to record with our own eyes the facts that were happening there," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

The politician reminded that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addressed the leaders of all parliaments that are members of the Council of Europe and invited them to visit Kyiv, Bucha, Borodyanka, Hostomel, Vorzel.

"Let's walk together the paths where crimes against the Ukrainian people were committed.  We must do everything we can to prevent this from happening again.  The slogan "Never Again" was proclaimed in 1945.  But some people seem to have forgotten about it by 2022," he said.

In turn, Tiny Kox thanked the Ukrainian side for the invitation to visit Ukraine and expressed condolences to the wounded and killed Ukrainians.

"We are concerned that millions of people have had to flee their homes. More than 4.5 million have gone abroad and are seeking refuge there. The war caused Ukraine a lot of suffering. When the war is over, the challenge will be how to rebuild the country. We are glad that we managed to exclude russia from the Council of Europe. If a country thinks it can start invading another country, it's over," said Tiny Kox.

According to him, a meeting is being held in Strasbourg today to discuss russia's war crimes in Ukraine and their investigation at the International Criminal Court.  Because responsibility should be taken not only by those who committed crimes, but also by those who gave them orders.
