In today's alarming situation, Ukrainian society needs a strong foothold and confidence not only in its own Armed Forces, but also in public authorities, which must confirm concrete unity, organization and determination by concrete actions.
This opinion was expressed by Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk at the Conciliation Council of the Deputy Factions and Groups.
According to her, maintaining peace, supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, territorial defense and our diplomats, as well as working effectively - is exactly what will help Ukraine the most now. Including in counteraction to numerous information and psychological operations.
At the same time, Olena Kondratiuk drew attention to the fact that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has not yet submitted specific proposals to amend the State Budget for 2022 in two directions. “The first one is to increase funding for Ukraine's defense capabilities. It is also an increase of military salaries this year, according to a Decree signed by the President of Ukraine during his speech at the opening of the seventh session. The second one is the allocation of UAH 2.7 billion for the deployment of territorial defense forces,” she said.
She stressed that each fully equipped brigade and battalion of defense is a key point of support for citizens in regions and cities in the conditions of the special period.
In this regard, Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk made a proposal to hear during the hour of questions to the Government the Minister of Finance of Ukraine. He must report to the Parliament, which changes to the 2022 State Budget need to be made to address these pressing issues.
