Estonia has always been and remains one of Ukraine's most loyal partners and friends in the Baltic region and Northern Europe. This was emphasized by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk during the meeting with the President of the Riigikogu of the Republic of Estonia Juri Ratas.
During the conversation, the parties discussed several issues related to the further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and cooperation to counter Russian aggression.
Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked Juri Ratas for the support of Ukraine by the Estonian Parliament at the diplomatic, defense, financial, and representation levels in the field of International Organizations, as well as for the high level of inter-parliamentary relations between the countries.
According to the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine, inter-parliamentary cooperation is an important component of interstate dialogue. In this context, Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that active and fruitful inter-parliamentary cooperation has been established between Ukraine and Estonia.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the participation of the Estonian Parliament in the development of the parliamentary dimension of the Crimea Platform, support for Ukraine's European integration aspirations, and cooperation at the level of friendship groups.
Touching upon concrete practical steps of cooperation, Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed that the issue of constant support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine by all partners is of paramount importance.
