Ukrainian parliamentarians are interested in studying the Croatian experience of adapting national legislation to EU standards in the process of European integration. This was stated by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk during the meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenkovic.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine thanked Croatia for supporting our country's strategic course towards full membership in the EU.

"It is important that Ukraine and Croatia sign a joint declaration in support of Ukraine's European perspective. It is very gratifying that Croatia supports our European integration. For us, the agreements we are implementing in this direction are very valuable. In particular, the Agreement on "open sky," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine thanked Croatia for joining the circle of founders of the Crimea Platform, as well as for its readiness to share with Ukraine the experience of peaceful reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories and post-war reconstruction.

In addition, Ruslan Stefanchuk hopes that the Croatian Parliament will officially recognize the Holodomor of 1932-33 in Ukraine as genocide of the Ukrainian people. He also thanked Croatia for supporting Ukrainian national minorities in Croatia.
