Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed further cooperation between the Parliaments of Ukraine and Lithuania with Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen.
"I am convinced of the full mutual support of our parliaments and peoples. We are moving together in one direction. During the conversation, several important issues for Ukraine were considered," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed hope that the Parliament of Lithuania would be one of the first to join the implementation of the parliamentary dimension of the Crimea Platform.

"The security situation in the region requires increased attention and coordinated actions of the Parliaments of Ukraine and Lithuania to counter the intentions of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation to destabilize the situation.  We especially count on the support of the Lithuanian side in this issue," said the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine.
Finally, Ruslan Stefanchuk informed that Ukraine has met more than 60% of the requirements of the Copenhagen criteria, of which 25% - for the last year.
