The military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine shows the Kremlin's outright disregard for international law and the just demands of the civilized world.

Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk stated this during the XI Session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Seimas and the Senate of the Republic of Poland and the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.

The Speaker of the Parliament expressed hope that the XI sitting of the Assembly will determine the further priorities of cooperation between the Parliaments of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania.

“It is important to continue the active actions of our countries, including our delegations in the PACE, NATO PA, as well as in the European Parliament,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

He expects that the countries of the Lublin Triangle will be able to join forces to consolidate the international community, taking into account the new elements of hybrid pressure from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

“I am convinced that today's challenges will strengthen our friendship and partnership. Our current solidarity and cooperation is based on common history, European values and mutual respect,” Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

The politician reminded that 30 years ago, on December 2 and December 4, 1991, Poland and Lithuania recognized the Independence of Ukraine.

“Since then, we have been confidently walking together and will continue to be loyal friends, including through the cooperation of our parliaments,” Ruslan Stefanchuk added.
