"The memory of the UPR soldiers is the memory of Ukraine's contribution to a free Europe. So being here is both a duty and an honor for us. Today, as Ukraine paves its way to Europe, it is worth recalling that it was the soldiers of the UPR Army almost 100 years ago who helped Poland resist the Bolshevik onslaught and protect Europe from the impending threat from Moscow. We must spread this memory among the younger generations, not forgetting that Ukraine together with Poland is a very great power," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine also took part in the ceremony of laying lighted lamps at the monument to the victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933 at the Wolski Orthodox Cemetery in Warsaw.
