There are many issues in the relations between Ukraine and Poland that can be resolved at the level of the Parliaments. That is why the legislative branches of both countries should deepen cooperation. Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov stated this during the meeting with Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Grodzki.

According to the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament, our state highly appreciates Poland's support in the issues of deoccupation of the territories of Donbas and Crimea.

Dmytro Razumkov also noted that today Europe has a great challenge in terms of energy security, as Ukraine and Poland warned in advance about such threats, which, given the current gas prices, have become a reality. “Only by joint efforts will we be able to counteract the current situation. I am confident that we will be able to go within the framework of those bilateral energy projects that will be used for the benefit of both Ukraine and Poland,” he said.

Separately, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament thanked the Marshal of the Polish Senate for participating in the commemorative ceremony dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the tragedy in Babyn Yar. "This is a common tragedy, which is a historical drama for Ukraine, Poland and Europe. The losses we have suffered are disproportionate. They cannot be forgotten or healed. But we have not only a common history, but also the present and the future,” Dmytro Razumkov added.

Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Grodzki, for his part, stressed the importance of honoring the memory of those killed in the tragedy in Babyn Yar. He also added that the issue of temporary occupation of certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions unites the peoples of the two countries. “Poland's position is that no country has the right to occupy part of another country. This position is unchanged,” he said.
