Today
it is important to make every effort to develop Ukrainian
parliamentarism. This was stated by Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov during the final event of the USAID Program
"RADA: Responsible Accountable Democratic Assembly".
According
to Dmytro Razumkov, no less important are the issues related to the
performance of its functions by the Verkhovna Rada. "Issues related to
the activities of the Parliament are more than relevant today. After
all, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has been, remains and will be a point
of stability, a point where a compromise must be sought. I think that
today, fortunately, we manage to do it - to work effectively, postponing
politics, achieving the success that we have today," he added.
The
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada thanked the partners - USAID, the
Eastern Europe Foundation - for cooperation in various areas for many
years, and thanked for the logistical and advisory assistance provided
to the Ukrainian Parliament.
Dmytro
Razumkov noted that many years of work together with the USAID Rada
Program have always been effective, transparent and open. "We talk a lot
today that the government should be transparent and open. Within the
walls of the Verkhovna Rada, we have chosen this path for ourselves and
are following it, regardless of belonging to certain political forces.
Today our main goal is to make Ukraine efficient and competitive in all
areas. Make the lives of our fellow citizens happy. I am sure that
everyone is ready to work for this," he stressed.
