By building an effective dialogue with business, the government will be able to resolve many important issues for the state. This was stated by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov during the meeting with representatives of the Board of the European Business Association.

“A special commission has been set up in the Verkhovna Rada to help businesses. We already have concrete positive examples of their activity. I am sure that only by moving together in a constant dialogue, we will be able to resolve many important issues for the country," said the Speaker of the Parliament.

During the event, participants discussed a number of bills, including in the fields of economics, tax policy, energy, environment, health care and agricultural issues. Dmytro Razumkov noted that the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic have dealt a significant blow not only to the health and lives of citizens, but also to the economy of our state. "On the one hand, the crisis is a problem, on the other - it can be a field for development. This has been demonstrated many times in the world. I hope that Ukraine will be able to follow this path," he said.

The Speaker thanked the business representatives who had been actively involved in the fight against the coronavirus in the early stages of the pandemic. "We must pay tribute to the business, which especially at the beginning of the pandemic helped a lot to doctors, the Ukrainian people," said Dmytro Razumkov.

At the same time, according to the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada, it is important for businesses to have "equal rules of the game", uniform rights and relations in the courts, as well as long-term clear tax rules. "A lot depends on the laws that are passed or not passed in the Parliament. It is also important for us to have feedback from the business. In turn, the state should see the result in the form of taxes paid, jobs created and investments attracted," he stressed.

In addition, during the meeting the parties discussed issues of reforming Ukraine. "We understand what reforms the state needs, and we will move in this direction. Most often, this vision coincides with the position of our foreign partners, in particular, the International Monetary Fund. There are debatable issues. But in general, the vision of the need for change is obvious," Dmytro Razumkov said.
