Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov signed the Law of Ukraine No. 4000 “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021.”
According to the document, next year UAH 139.5 billion hryvnias are planned to be allocated for the development of education and science, UAH 159.9 billion – for medicine, and UAH 315 billion – for social protection. UAH 267 billion has been earmarked for security and defense.
At the same time, UAH 19.4 billion will be allocated to fight the pandemic next year, of which:
UAH 15.8 billion – medical guarantees program;
UAH 2.6 billion – purchase of vaccines;
UAH 1 billion – prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in schools.
In addition, it is planned to create a special fund to counter COVID-19.
It is also planned to increase the minimum wage from January 1, 2021 to UAH 6,000; and from December 1, 2021 – UAH 6,500.
 
The law was submitted to the President of Ukraine for signature.
