The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the diplomatic corps should intensify cooperation at the level of inter-parliamentary relations groups and focus on investor protection. This was stated by the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov during the video conference of heads of foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine
“I take the position - MPs know it - that only cooperation between our embassies and parliamentary friendship groups is an effective mechanism for working and promoting the interests of the Ukrainian state and Ukrainian parliamentarism on the international arena,” he said.
Addressing the diplomats, the Speaker said: “It is very important that you make every effort and help Ukrainian parliamentarians defend Ukraine's interests in your host countries.”
Dmytro Razumkov noted that the COVID-19 pandemic hinders the establishment of sustainable partnerships. "I hope that soon, when there are enough vaccines and the world can get out of the lockdown, we will return to normal work, to normal communication," he said.
He also stressed the need to focus on investor protection. The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada reminded that the Temporary Special Commission for Investor Protection operates effectively in the Parliament. According to him, it is necessary to deepen cooperation with European business, and Ukraine takes a constructive position on this issue, protecting both domestic and foreign investors.
According to the Speaker of the Parliament, in the conditions of hybrid aggression, the cooperation of the Parliament with the diplomatic corps is one of the key ones, which determines world politics and is an effective mechanism for advancing Ukraine's interests on the international arena. “We need to maintain the uninterrupted dynamics that we started a long time ago and keep at a high level,” he added.

“The key priorities for the country's development have been identified. This is a move towards NATO and the European Union. Yes, this is a difficult path. It is full of challenges that we will also have to go through. Nevertheless, today we are making every effort to ensure that this movement is constant, sustainable and cannot be changed,” said Dmytro Razumkov.
