Dear Nationals!
Today, Ukraine commemorates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. This is a symbolic day for every single Ukrainian as our nation partook in two world wars, standing firm these days against the Russian aggression.
It’s very significant this is the day of deep reverence, not celebration.
On this day, we are thinking and paying our tribute of respect to victims of World War II.
With all the nations of the free world in common, we stand pondering on the victory over Nazism in Europe and the cost we all paid. I encourage you to recall all the Ukrainians, who were at war in all armies for the sake of peace. Let us remember all war veterans, Ukrainian liberation movement members and victims of Nazism!
I bow my head before those who protected our land as well as the whole world from Nazism during World War II.
Let us remember and be ready to stand and overcome!
Nowadays, we can see a new Hitler in the very heart of the European Union – a war criminal Putin has fanned a new warfare.
We are now making a profound and thankful bow before our soldiers who defend our freedom in the east of Ukraine, who sacrificially fight against the new ideology of hatredand war – Rashizm!
I am grateful today to all Ukrainians who temporarily live on the occupied territories – despite the risk of their lives – doing their utmost for the victory of Ukraine.
It is my strong opinion, our country will win this war - as we fight for peace and freedom on our own land. God and the truth are on our side!
