On Friday, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Parubii met Friday with ambassadors of member states of the European Union and the Group of Seven, accredited in Ukraine. He expressed gratitude for the assistance and support that Ukraine receives from Big of Seven countries and the European Union. "For us, this assistance is invaluable during the ordeal – a war of Ukraine against Russian invaders" - said Parubii and stressed that "this support is very important to feel because  for our soldiers on Maidan and ATO closely to blue-yellow  flag they always held the flag of the European Union, we knew that and defend our country and the whole world. "

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada informed about the progress of the reforms and the situation in areas where there is fighting. "We have a difficult period in Ukraine where both we have to wage war against the invaders and carry out reforms in many spheres of public life, take care of the security of the country", - he said.

A.Parubii convinced that Ukraine is moving in the right direction of reforming of  our country. He reminded that only during the current plenary week Parliament adopted a number of important draft laws which very controversial. Parliament voted to amend the Constitution in the part of the judiciary, in particular the Law on the Judicial System and Status of Judges. "Yesterday we demonstrated that for reform and changes Ukrainian parliament is ready to unite and work effectively", - said Parubii.

He also noted that this week Parliament passed seven laws that are necessary to continue cooperation with the IMF. "Among them there is a social law, which makes it possible to sell in Ukraine drugs registered abroad, and  which is actually anti-corruption one. Also the law on cheapening of used vehicles from abroad and laws directed  to support families of ATO were adopted"- said Parubii.

"We have demonstrated that the Ukrainian parliament and a government are determined to implement reforms, including reforms which may seem to be unpopular," - said Parubii.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada  called for jointly resist Russian propaganda, which "often finds its audience, it lined up for years, it invested billions, but we must communicate to our citizens and partners in Ukraine that many important steps made towards reform. It is very important on the eve of a adoption of the decision to continue sanctions against Russia, - said Parubii, - for Ukraine it is significant that these sanctions would be extended." He expressed  hope  "on the joint efforts of Europe in making a decision on the continuation of sanctions."

Parubii said that "within the past few weeks attacks in the Donbas territory became more intensive  and aggressor uses the latest weapons - even our radar can not intercept  signals of the latest technology, they practically turn Ukraine into the ground, which use modern weapons, leading to the death of our fighters." Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada  called the situation a great tragedy, "which we can not turn a blind eye."

He expressed hope that "the continuation of sanctions should unite us and  we must be firm and resolute in this."

In their turn, heads of diplomatic missions expressed hope that amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in the part of judicial system will help to eradicate corruption and expressed support for Ukraine in its ongoing reforms.
