On Wednesday, July 6, Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation was held
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, informed on the results of work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during the plenary meetings on July 5.
Representatives of the deputy factions read out their proposals, motions, and appeals.
BYuT-Batkivshchyna and Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense Factions insisted that a recess be announced.
Representative of BYuT-Batkivshchyna faction Andrii Pavlovskyi drew attention of the presenters to the bill on legislative support of pension system reform.
The People's Deputy stated that the opposition, namely, BYuT-Batkivshchyna faction suggested an alternative bill without increasing of retirement age and the length of service.
Parliamentarians scrutinized ratification issues.
The Verkhovna Rada ratified the following Agreements: between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Kingdom of Norway on Readmission of Persons; on the Rules for Determining the Country of Origin of Goods in the Commonwealth of Independent States; on Cooperation between CIS Member States in the Establishment, Use, and Development of the Inter-State Network of Information-Marketing Centers to promote Goods and Services in the Domestic Markets; the Loan Agreement (750 kV Zaporizka NPP - Kakhovska Transmission Line Project) between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The Verkhovna Rada ratified the Eighth Additional Protocol to the Constitution of the Universal Postal Union and the Fee Agreement between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development concerning Participation of Ukraine in the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund.
Valerii Sushkevych, Chairman of the Committee on the Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities, presented the bill on amendments to clause 4 of the Law "On State Social Aid to the Low-Income Families" (re specification of particular provisions).
The bill was adopted as a basis and in its entirety by 276 votes.
The bill "On Industrial Parks" was presented by Vladyslav Kaskiv, Poeple's Deputy of Ukraine.
N. Korolevska, Chairman of the Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship, announced the Committee's decision to adopt the bill as a basis.
The bill was adopted in the first reading by 228 votes.
The bill on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding open access to the State Register of Legal Entities and Sole Proprietors was presented by N. Korolevska, Chairman of the Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship.
N. Korolevska informed that the Committee recommends the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the bill as a basis.
The bill was rejected.
The bill on high priority measures of monetary policy of the National Bank of Ukraine regarding renewal of economic growth in Ukraine was presented by Oleh Liashko, People´s Deputy of Ukraine.
The Specialized Committee on Budget recommends the Verkhovna Rada to reject the bill, as it contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine.
Tthe bill was rejected.
The Verkhovna Rada passed the following Resolutions: "On Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Death of Saint Luke of Simferopol, born Valentin Felixovich Voino-Yasenetsky, Scholar, Surgeon and Archbishop of Simferopol" and "On Celebration of the 320th Anniversary of Birth of Petro Kalnyshevskyi (1691-1803), Political and Military Figure, Last Cossack Chieftain of Zaporizhzhya Sich."
The People's Deputies scrutinized and rejected the draft resolutions on Appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the President of Ukraine on Dismissal of I. Khoroshkovskyi, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, and on the Report of I. Khoroshkovskyi, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, on Persecution and Aggression on the part of the Security Service of Ukraine towards the Ukrainian Historians of the National Memorial Museum of Victims of Occupation Regimes "Tiurma na Lontskoho" and other Actions to suppress the Historical Truth.
At the end of the morning sitting, the parliamentarians scrutinized several bills to be put on the agenda.
The Chairman adjourned the afternoon sitting.
The next plenary meeting of the eighth session will be held on Wednesday, July 7.
