THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE CONTINUED ITS PLENARY WORK ON WEDNESDAY, 30 JUNE
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, opened the plenary meeting, and briefed on the results of work of The Verkhovna Rada at the plenary meetings on June, 29.
The People´s Deputies presented their motions, announcements and appeals.
People´s Deputy Yurii Serbin presented the Draft Urban Planning Code of Ukraine.
The presenter characterized the innovations of the draft, drawing attention to the development of general town planning schemes of cities, townships and villages.
The Draft Urban Planning Code of Ukraine was adopted as a basis by 383 votes.
The People´s Deputies scrutinized and rejected the bill on Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements (re responsibility for non-fulfillment of legitimate demands of the police officers).
Volodymyr Moisyk, Chairman of the Sub-Committee of the Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement, presented the bill on Amendments to the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine regarding Enhancement of the Status of an Injured Person.
The bill was adopted as a basis.
People´s Deputy Anatolii Hrytsenko presented the bill on Amendments to the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine (re Specification of Investigative Jurisdiction).
The bill was adopted as a basis by 254 votes.
Serhii Pashynskyi, member of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety, presented the bill on energy auditing. He stated that adoption of the bill would settle the issue of energy auditing.
Serhii Pashynskyi stated that adoption of the bill would fill another gap in the legislative framework, making the economy energy-independent, energy-saving and energy-efficient.
The bill was referred to adjustment.
The Verkhovna Rada rejected the bill on amendments to clause 39 of the Law "On Telecommunications" (re regulation of payment for telecommunication services).
The People´s Deputies scrutinized two bills on enhancement of applicable legislation against tuberculosis.
People´s Deputy Yurii Prokopchuk presented the bill on amendments to clause 17 of the Law "On Prevention of Tuberculosis" (re the Sick in the Penitentiary Establishment).
Tetiana Bakhteieva, Chairman of the Public Health Committee, presented a new version of the bill on amendments to the Law "On Prevention of Tuberculosis".
The bill broadens the categories of people subject to preventive medical examinations.
The bill also introduces a single state register of the sick with tuberculosis.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a new version of the bill on amendments to the Law "On Prevention of Tuberculosis." The bill by Yurii Prokopchuk was rejected.
The People´s Deputies postponed scrutiny of the draft resolution on setting up a Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate circumstances of and reasons for undue implementation of international agreements between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova on the state border regarding transfer of land plots in the vicinity of Palanca and Dzhurdzhuleshty towns.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Adam Martyniuk announced termination of the authorities of the Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate Circumstances and Reasons of Inefficient State Property Administration in the Agricultural Sector in connection with lack of reports submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in a term defined by the Law.
In the end of the plenary meeting, the People´s Deputies included the bills on amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine regarding notification of the GMO contents in foodstuffs, on recognition of the Law "On Organization and Order of the Activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine" as such that lost its validity, on amendments to the Law "On Elections of the People´s Deputies of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea, Local Councils and Village, Town and City Mayors" on the agenda of the sixth session.
The draft resolution on the state celebration of the 800th anniversary of foundation of Zbarazh town of Ternopil region was included on the agenda.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Adam Martyniuk adjourned the morning plenary meeting.
The next plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall be held on Thursday, 1 July.
