PLENARY WEEK OF THE SIXTH SESSION OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE OF THE SIXTH CONVOCATION CONCLUDED ON FRIDAY, 14 MAY
At the beginning of the morning plenary meeting, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced that the Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defence Faction declared its opposition to the political course of the coalition and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The Chairman referred to the appeal of the Faction of 12 May 2010.
V.Lytvyn announced that People´s Deputy O.Feldman accessed the coalition.
The Chairman briefed on the results of work of The Verkhovna Rada at the plenary meetings on 13 May.
Renat Kuzmin, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, took the oath of the member of the High Council of Justice.
The Chairman reminded of the Government Question Hour scheduled for Friday. However, the non-coalition factions failed to submit the topics of the Government Question Hour to the Conciliative Council.
V.Lytvyn read out the deputy inquiries.
The parliament members passed the Resolution "On Estimate of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for 2010" by 238 votes.
Yurii Odarchenko reported on the work of the Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the Circumstances concerning Violation of Ukrainian Legislation by Alienation of Public Share Packages in the Ownership of Joint-Stock Companies in the Field of Agricultural Engineering Industry due to activity of the Open Joint-Stock Company "Lease Company "Ukrahromashinvest", and investigate the Circumstances of Leading the OJSC "Khersonski Kombainy" to Bankruptcy.
The Temporary Inquiry Panel investigated the circumstances of leading the OJSC "Khersonski Kombainy" to bankruptcy.
Yu.Odarchenko stated that the employees of "Kherson Machine Building Plant" and the officials of the Ministry of Industrial Policy misappropriated governmental funds in the amount of UAH 4 million 147 thousand.
The Head of the Temporary Inquiry Panel suggested that the report be taken into account and forwarded to the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister, the General Prosecution, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service.
The People´s Deputies remarked that the Panel failed to fulfill its basic task, as it failed to present any conclusions and legislative motions to the Law "On Bankruptcy."
The Verkhovna Rada rejected the Draft Resolution on the Report of the Temporary Inquiry Panel, thus terminating its work.
Olena Shustik presented the report of the Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to draft the Concept of the Judicial-Legal Reform.

People´s Deputy Valerii Sushkevych presented the bill on amendments to the law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" (re clause number).
The bill was adopted as a basis by 291 votes.
The People´s Deputies scrutinized the bill on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine (re enhancement of state supervision and responsibility in the field of hunting economy and hunting). The bill was rejected.
The People´s Deputies supported the motion of the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations regarding harmonization of the text version of the adopted Law "On Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine regarding Support of Agricultural Producers."
People´s Deputy Andrii Parubii presented the bill on amendments to clause 707 of the Civil Code (re legal regulation of exchange of goods of unsatisfactory quality).
The legislative support was supported. The bill was adopted in entirety by 310 votes.
At the end of the plenary meeting, the People´s Deputies presented their motions, appeals and announcements.
