ON FRIDAY, THE 4TH OF DECEMBER THE NEXT PLENARY WEEK OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE OF THE SIXTH CONVOCATION CAME TO THE END
At the beginning of the meeting, the People´s Deputies have not upheld the inquiry to the President of Ukraine regarding the veto overriding on the dismissal of Volodymyr Stelmakh from the office of the National Bank of Ukraine Chairman.
Ludmyla Denisovam the Minister on Social Policy and Oleksiy Zarudny, the Chairman of the Pension Fund delivered the speeches before the Parliament regarding the implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On Implementation of the Minimum Living Wage and Minimal Salary" and ‘On the Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for the year 2009."
Vasyl Khara, the Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Labour state d that there are 15 million poor in Ukraine and 7 million retired people receive the pension at the rate lover then poverty rate that is UAH 792.
V. Khara declared that Ukraine is the only CIS country that had not raised the social standards yet.
Chairman of the Committee on the Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and the Disabled, Valery Sushkevych declared that the Government and the Ministry on Social Policy and Labour commenced the implementation of this "ambiguous" law clauses.
Faction representatives in their speeches had evaluated the Government and Ministry on Social Policy and Labour regarding the implementation of he Laws "On Implementation of the Minimum Living Wage and Minimal Salary" and "On the State Budget of Ukraine for the year 2009."
Parliamentarians continued the scrutiny of the amendments to the bill on goods, works and services purchase at the expense of the state funds.
7-11 December the People´s Deputies will be working in the committees, commissions and factions.
Next plenary meting would be held on 15 December.
