PLENARY MEETING OF THE THIRD SESSION OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE WAS HELD ON THURSDAY, 4 DECEMBER
Oleksandr Lavrynovych, First Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, informed that the council of leaders of Parliamentary Factions was held at 9 a.m. Thus, the consultations of Deputy Factions concerning election of the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine have not been concluded yet. According to O.Lavrynovych, only 3 anti-recessionary Bills out of 26 registered have been prepared for scrutiny at the Parliament. 12 Bills are being prepared for consideration, and the Committees are going to scrutinize 11 more today and tomorrow.
Then O.Lavrynovych stated that three motions concerning further activity of the Parliament had been introduced, namely, to start the plenary meeting from the reports of the Factions´ representatives, to hold a special plenary meeting on next Tuesday in order to discuss the situation in the country, the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine being invited; to amend the schedule: work in the Committees on Thursday and Friday, and hold plenary meeting on the next week.
O.Lavrynovych put all the motions to the vote. The People´s Deputies upheld the motion concerning holding of a special meeting by 353 votes, amendments to the schedule of the Third Session by 303 votes.
Thus, the next plenary meeting will be held on Tuesday, 9 December.
