PLENARY MEETINGS OF THE THIRD SESSION OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE OF THE SIXTH CONVOCATION WERE HELD ON TUESDAY, 28 OCTOBER
Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, opened the morning meeting and invited the Factions leaders to hold a counsel in order to coordinate the order for scrutinizing the issues of agenda. Then he announced a one-hour recess.
After the recess, A.Yatseniuk stated that representatives of the President´s Secretariat actively participated in elaboration of the coordinated Bill. To prevent possible claims for authorship, it was resolved that a single Bill would be submitted on behalf of the President of Ukraine and would be defined as urgent for consideration. The Bill includes motions introduced by almost all the Factions. A.Yatseniuk called on the Factions with a request to scrutinize the Bill in question.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also announced that he invited Yu.Tymoshenko, Prime-Minister of Ukraine, the Head of the National Bank and the Minister of Finance to the counsel that would be held at 2 p.m.
Then the Chairman declared the morning meeting closed.
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, opened the evening meeting. He announced that the meeting of Factions leaders and Chairmen of Parliamentary Committees with the participation of Yu.Tymoshenko, Prime-Minister of Ukraine, the Head of the National Bank and the Minister of Finance was still in progress. Therefore, he announced a one-hour recess.
After the recess, A.Yatseniuk stated that he suggested voting for all the submitted Bills at the First Reading, namely, for the Bill on overcoming Financial Crisis, on Amendments to the State Budget, on Amendments to the Law "On Election of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine". However, A.Yatseniuk stated that his motion failed to be endorsed.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed that little time was left for adoption of the antirecessionary Bill.
A.Yatseniuk suggested that at the beginning of the plenary meeting on Wednesday the People´s Deputies voted for all the Bills at the First Reading, then prepared all the motions introduced by the Factions and voted for the Bills at the Second Reading.
The Chairman invited the Factions leaders to the meeting with the participation of the Prime-Minister and the Minister of Finance that would be held at 9 a.m. Then he declared the evening plenary meeting closed.
