Following the results of the discussion, the Committee suggested that the Government supplement the document with a new chapter "New Environmental Policy".
During the meeting, the Committee members granted a hearing to information of rector of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor Stanislav Nikolaienko on Committee's cooperation with the National University.
The Committee adopted the decision to initiate holding parliamentary hearings entitled "On decommissioning of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, structure "Shelter", and prospects of developing the exclusion zone" in March, 2015.
The Committee also adopted a decision on holding parliamentary hearings entailed "Analysis of the status of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine" in February, 2015.
The Committee elected people's deputy of Ukraine Pavlo Dziublyk as the chairperson of the subcommittee on forest resources, objects of animal and plant world, natural landscapes, and objects of nature reserve fund; and it also approved personnel of the subcommittees.
