To citizens of Volyn Oblast
Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate you on the 75th establishment anniversary of Volyn Oblast.
Volyn citizens of different generations are united by a mutual aspiration towards establishment of statehood, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine. Here, since ancient times a solid foundation for building a common European home which opens new prospect and horizons for our country has been laid.
Today Ukraine has to fight for its independence, winning back its own lands, defending rights and freedoms of citizens. We were meant to participate in creating modern Ukrainian history, to live in the time of crucial changes and important decisions. It is a high honour and great responsibility to one's own conscience and future generations. I believe we will overcome all obstacles and build a wealthy European country.
On this festive day, I thank those citizens of Volyn who are not indifferent to the fate of native land.
I wish you peace and tranquility, health and longevity, inexhaustible energy and new achievements for the benefit of Volyn and Ukraine.
