The Chairman of the Committee stressed also that people’s deputies in their activities prefer “first of all, support of processing industry of Ukrainian agro-industry, that will provide priority of this component over the export of agricultural raw materials, secondly, completion of land reform and establishment of commodity circulation of agricultural land.”
H.Kaletnik informed also that the volume of agricultural production in Ukraine today is more than 20% of the GDP of the state. According to him, the revenues to the state budget in taxes from the farms are about 10 billion of U.S. dollars. The Chairman of the Committee also noted that agricultural exports provide positive balance of Ukraine in the field of foreign trade.
Answering the questions of Finish delegation on peculiarities of farm management in the sphere of milk production, H.Kaletnik said that today there is a tendency to increase number of cows and milk production in the organized sector of agroindustrial complex, and to its decrease in the individual sector. According to the people’s deputy, the level of annual milk yield per cow in Ukraine is 4.1 thousand liters in private households and from 6.5 to 7.5 thousand liters in agribusiness, "although there are farms that produce 8.5 thousand liters per year." According to the participants, in Finland, the comparable figure is 10 thousand liters per year.
The Chairman of the subcommittee of the Parliament of Finland Eero Reijonen, defining the competence of parliamentarians-members of delegation, noted that members of the delegation are representatives of almost all 8 parliamentary parties. Describing the agroindustrial complex in the structure of state economy, the deputy noted that out of 50 billion euro of Finish budget, 2.7 billion is the budget on agriculture.
The Secretary of the Committee on Judicial Policy Nataliya Ahafonova, member of the Committee on Budget Andriy Derkach, the First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Customs and Tax Policy Oksana Prodan participated in the meeting. They introduced Finish delegation to the competence of their Committees and participated in the discussion of issues of foreign investments in agroindustrial sector of Ukraine, production of animal products etc.
