The bill (Reg. No. 2639) suggests new version of article 40 “Physical or mental coercion” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Author of the bill, people’s deputy V.Zhuravskyi, justified the bill with the need to improve legislation in the field of regulation of criminal legal consequences for the person who caused harm to legally protected interests as a result of coercion.
The Committee members noted that the adoption of the bill will promote effective protection of human rights and freedoms in the articles of the Criminal Code.
