During the consideration of the resolution (Reg. No. 2607) the Committee noted that June 12, 2013 marks the 70th anniversary of the “Carpathian Reid”, partisan formation led by Sydir Kovpak and Semyon Rudniev. Following the instructions of the Communist Party of Ukraine, the partisan formation stormed way thought Rivne, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk regions and passed 2000 km. They blew 18 troop trains, 52 bridges, 43 oil-derricks, 13 oil collars, 4 oil plants and oil pipe line.
The draft resolution suggests commemorating 70th anniversary of the “Carpathian Reid”, partisan formation led by Sydir Kovpak, on the state level, on 12 June 2013.
