The Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities considered the bill on granting the cities of Ukraine the title “City of military glory” and the honorary title “City of military glory”

Particularly, the Committee considered the following two draft laws (alternative): on the title “City of military glory” (Reg. No. 1094) and on the honorary title “City of military glory” (Reg. No. 1094-1) and took the decision to recommend the Verkhovna Rada adopt as a basis the bill registered under No. 1094-1, following the results of discussion in the first reading.

The bills suggest establish legal basis and the procedure of granting the cities of Ukraine, near which or on the territories of which the defenders of Homeland showed courage and heroism in the course of fierce battles, the title of Ukraine “City of military glory” (Reg. No. 1094) and the honorary title “City of military glory” (Reg. No. 1094-1).
