The bill (Reg. No. 2836) suggests granting the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the following authorities:
to carry out scheduled and extraordinary, on-site and off-site inspections of owners and/or administrators of personal data;
to send the owner and/or administrator of personal data the petition of the Human Rights Commissioner in order to eliminate the existing violations of legislation in the part of personal data protection;
to provide recommendations in the sphere of personal data protection;
to make suggestions in regard to forming and implementing state policy in the sphere of personal data protection in the order determined by legislation;
to monitor new practices, tendencies and technologies of personal data protection;
to align corporate code of conduct.
It is planned to amend the Code on Administrative Infringements.
