Clause 6 of article 287 is to be amended to ensure that the Cabinet of Ministers shall establish the list of equipment (codes under the UKTZED (Ukrainian Classification of Goods of Foreign Economic Activity) provided), as well as the amount of imported goods which will be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
It was stated that the existing Customs Code provides that such a list (mentioning neither codes under UKTZED (Ukrainian Classification of Goods of Foreign Economic Activity), nor the amount of import) is approved by the State Agency for Investment and National projects of Ukraine in the order established by the Cabinet of Ministers.
People’s deputies believe that implementation of bill provisions will strengthen control over import of goods, customs registration of which will be supplemented with import duty tax privileges. Thereat, parliament members believe that responsibility for unauthorized use of these goods should be prescribed and the Cabinet of Ministers should be entrusted to determine the procedure of their import.
