The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt as a basis the draft law on amendments to article 122 of the Criminal Executive Code Of Ukraine (re provision of pensions for condemned to imprisonment)

The bill (Reg. No. 2038) suggests the possibility for convicted persons, who acquired the right to retire and serve a sentence, to use their right on their pensions. The bill suggests also to ensure the possibility to apply for pension to the Pension fund through a personal representative.

Members of the Committee supported the bill. Its adoption will allow to eliminate the gap in legislation regarding the issue of pensions to the persons who serve a sentence.
