Addressing members of the Interdenominational Christian Mission, people’s deputy Serhiy Sas noted the importance of consolidated work of representatives of Christian denominations in rehabilitation of persons who serve a term of imprisonment.
S.Sas informed also on lawmaking work held in the Committee, particularly, on issues concerning penitentiary service of Ukraine.
Representatives of denominations reported on the work conducted by clergy in prisons and problems connected with it, particularly, regarding the part of constitutional right on freedom of religion.
Members of the Mission visited St Volodymyr's Church in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
